Kristy + Simon | Brisbane Wedding Photography

Kristy’s words taken from Beyond Beyond blog feature:

One thing you need to know before I begin is that we are both complete nerds, albeit stylish ones, but nerds at heart. When I first saw Simon he was lost and wearing a mouldy looking dress/robe in the Arathi Highlands. I of course immediately came to his rescue looking fabulous in my plated leather armour and braids with my Gorilla tagging along behind me.

No these are not the musing of a complete nutter but of a girl who fell in love with the World of Warcraft and a certain lost and mouldy looking warlock.  I can’t even tell you how we saw each other through the game but we did and recognised there was something special. Before I knew it I had moved from NSW and QLD in the pursuit of love and I’ve never looked back. He saw something special in me as after a year of being together he proposed. I will say it was a very unromantic moment as I was very hung-over and looked like something that had been caught in a drain but they say love gives you rose coloured glasses. I’m so very, very lucky to have a beautiful person like Simon in my life.

The lead up to the wedding day was a little stressful to be polite but I had Simon and my Mum who stopped me from turning into a complete banshee. I wanted to have my wedding dress made because I love colour and had decided that I wanted a canary yellow and hot pink dress.

I found a dress maker who turned out to be a complete and utter nightmare and I had to go out and buy a new wedding dress just two days before the event. Luckily I am the queen on clash and ended up wearing a beautiful red dress with a hot pink underskirt. My veil was custom made by the lovely Nina at www.vintagebox1947.com. She makes the most delicious creations and I was thrilled with end product.

Simon had his cufflinks custom made with pictures of our World of Warcraft characters from www.tiesncuff.com.au. The venue we choose was amazing, the staff were fantastic and the food and wines was incredible I would highly recommend http://www.hillstonestlucia.com.au/ to anyone. One of the best things from the wedding, besides a lovely husband, are the amazing photographs we have.

We will be able to keep these visual memories forever. I really  appreciate the amount of time and effort you have put into our photos.  The are incredible and you are a very, very talented lady, Rebecca.  Simon and I have decided that you are our life photographer. When we get  pregnant, have babies, move to new houses our just want beautiful  photos of our pets, then you are the lady to come to. Thanks so much  again for creating such beautiful images.
